Active cases rise over 5,000; two more deaths

An alarming 702 new active coronavirus (COVID-19) cases were reported yesterday, with an additional two deaths. The Ministry of Health said it conducted 11,535 tests, and the new infections included 98 expatriate workers, 602 contacts of active cases, and two travel-related cases, bringing the total active cases to 5,002. Ninety are receiving treatment with 30 in critical condition. There were also 334 additional recoveries but two deaths, both female citizens aged 51 and 80.
