HRH the Crown Prince welcomes new US commander

His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister met yesterday with newly appointed US Naval Forces Central Command and US Fifth Fleet commander Vice-Admiral Samuel Paparo. The meeting was held through visual communication technology.
During their discussions, HRH the Crown Prince highlighted the long-standing ties between Bahrain and the US. HRH the Crown Prince also underscored the importance of further strengthening bilateral cooperation, particularly within military and defence. This is with the aim of consolidating regional security, stability and peace.
HRH the Crown Prince welcomed Vice-Admiral Paparo and wished him success on his new appointment. Regional and international topics of common interest were also discussed. Also taking part in the virtual meeting was US Embassy charge d’affaires Maggie Nardie.
