Three more COVID-19 deaths

Three more coronavirus related deaths took the overall toll in the Kingdom yesterday to 211. A Bahrain woman, aged 72 years, a Bahraini man, aged 66 years, and an expatriate man, aged 56 years, are the latest fatalities in Bahrain’s coronavirus battle.

The number of patients currently receiving treatment in the Kingdom has reached 86, of which 26 are in a critical condition, says the Ministry of Health on its twitter account. There are 6,183 active coronavirus patients in the Kingdom, out of which 6,157 patients are healthwise stable. The ministry said it conducted 9,977 COVID-19 tests yesterday to detected 747 new cases.

The majority of the newly detected cases, 633 of them, are contacts of active cases, while 109 are expatriate workers, and 5 are travel related. Bahrain also increased the number of recoveries in the Kingdom by416, raising the overall recoveries here to 53,192.
