The Coast Guard Commander stated that within the framework of the Coast Guard's efforts to address violations related to hunting and the tools used in it, the Coast Guard patrols of the Command were able to control two separate incidents in the Askar and Jadum regions, where 7 violators of the laws and regulations were arrested in possession of about 620 kilograms of shrimp. Fishing by bottom trawl nets ( kufa ), which are forbidden to be used according to Ministerial Resolution No. (205) of 2018 regarding the prohibition of fishing by bottom trawl nets (karaf).
The Coast Guard commander confirmed that the necessary legal measures had been taken and that the two cases had been referred to the Public Prosecution.
