King to open second session
His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa will today open the second session of the fourth legislative term of Parliament and Shura Council.
A number of political, economic and social issues will top the agenda of the National Assembly during the second session.
The new session will convene amid the rapidly unfolding regional developments and their impacts on its countries, the continuous Iranian interference in the Kingdom's domestic affairs and the increasing number of sabotage and terror acts aimed at terrorising the citizens and subverting the Kingdom's stability.
It also comes days after the recent cabinet reshuffle, the merger of some government departments in a bid to reduce expenditure, and efforts to deal with the fall of oil prices in global markets.
