Bahrainouna hails private sector partners’ role

TDT | Manama

The importance of private sector organisations in implementing Bahrainouna’s initiatives was asserted yesterday by the national plan’s executive office director Hala Sulaiman. The national plan’s success is based on a collective partnership with all organisations—governmental, private sector and the NGOs—to reinforce national initiatives and achieve targetted goals, she noted.

Sulaiman pointed out that as part of the directives of the Ministerial Follow-up Committee of the National Plan, spearheaded by Interior Minister General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, Bahrainouna works to promote community partnership with various civic and private organisations, resulting in the backing of Aluminium Bahrain (Alba).

She commended Alba’s role in supporting the community and national initiatives, in line with its responsibility to the nation and society. The executive office director said that the national plan aims to preserve Bahrain’s genuine traditional values that represent a spirit of brotherhood and reflect solidarity between citizens of one nation.

She said the plan reinforces a dedication to work within a national spirit in promoting Bahrain’s security and stability by reinforcing national belonging and inculcating a positive and responsible approach towards cohesion between all segments in society.

Alba CEO Ali Al Baqali emphasised the company’s continuous drive to contribute to the growth and stability of Bahrain’s society, and Alba’s keen interest in supporting programmes and plans that aim at reinforcing national cohesion and preserving national values among society members.

Bahrainouna includes 105 initiatives that are being executed with the collaboration of 25 ministries and organisations. Eighty-one per cent of these are being implemented as part of the five main pillars: belonging programmes, public relations, media campaigns, curricula, and legislative programmes.
