TDT | Manama

Minister of Foreign Affairs Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani participated virtually yesterday in the opening session of the high-level general debate of the UN General Assembly in its 75th session (UNGA 75), chaired by the session’s president Volkan Bozkir. Many heads of states and leaders of the world participated, along with UN secretary-general Antonio Guterres, heads of delegations, and high-ranking officials.

Meanwhile, the Foreign Minister held a virtual meeting yesterday with the ambassadors of Bahrain abroad, which was also attended by the ministry’s undersecretaries and Foreign Ministry Council members. The Foreign Minister briefed the ambassadors on the visionary goals of His Majesty the King by signing the declaration in support for peace between Bahrain and Israel and the signing of the Declaration of Abraham Principles, which took place in the White House earlier this month.

The Foreign Minister praised the sincere efforts made by the ambassadors and their continuous communication with competent officials in brotherly and friendly countries, to inform them of the vision of HM the King and the goals and contents of the peace declaration, as well as the efforts they are making to strengthen joint-cooperation between Bahrain and those countries in various fields.
