The Chief Prosecutor, Adnan Al-Wadaei, stated that the Public Prosecution Office has referred a defendant to the Lower Criminal Court for violating the home quarantine measures imposed on her to prevent the spread of the new Coronavirus and has exposed others to infection.
 
The Public Health Department had informed the Public Prosecution that a defendant had violated the home quarantine procedure imposed on her as a precaution to prevent the spread of the Coronavirus due to her contact with infected people, and it was proved that during the precautionary period imposed on her, she left her residence and went to a family gathering at the house of one of her relatives, and then she felt With satisfactory symptoms, and after examination, she was confirmed to be infected with the emerging coronavirus, and after tracking and examination of contacts, it was confirmed that six people were infected with the Coronavirus.
 
The Public Prosecution began its procedures as soon as the report was received, and ordered that the accused be referred to a criminal trial, indicating that the prescribed punishment for this crime is imprisonment for up to three years and a fine of up to ten thousand dinars, and the session may be scheduled for September 29, 2020, to hear the case before the lower court Criminal.
