NMS-DPS student shines in video blog contest

New Millennium School (NMS)-DPS Bahrain grade five student Akshita Deep emerged as the winner of the “My Life My Yoga” video blog contest. The contest was initiated by India’s Ministry of Ayurveda, Yoga and Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and Homoeopathy, the Indian government, and the Indian Council for Cultural Relations.
The purpose of the contest was to raise awareness about yoga and to inspire people to actively get involved in yogic activities. Akshita received a certificate and cash prize of BD250 from the Indian Embassy. NMS-DPS chairman Dr. Ravi Pillai, managing director Geetha Pillai, and principal Arun Kumar Sharma congratulated Akshita, her parents, and teachers for her achievement.
