National Quarry’s major role hailed

Sustainable Energy Authority (SEA) president Dr. Abdulhussain bin Ali Mirza received yesterday's National Quarry consultant Rashid Juma Al Malood. Dr. Mirza lauded the major role played by the National Quarry in achieving the optimal use of natural resources in the Kingdom and meeting the needs of government projects, in coordination with the Ministry of Works, Municipalities Affairs, and Urban Planning.

He presented an overview of the renewable energy and energy efficiency initiatives included in both the National Renewable Energy Action Plan and the National Energy Efficiency Action Plan. He also reviewed the main government projects to which SEA provides technical support in order to integrate renewable energy solutions in them and ensure their optimal use of energy efficiency technology.

The ultimate goal is to consolidate the role of various government entities in contributing to achieving the national objectives related to the sustainability of energy resources, and availing of the benefits of various initiatives on them, he said.

Dr Mirza affirmed SEA’s commitment to supporting the modernization efforts of all government departments, within the contributions of government entities to supporting the national efforts to ensure the sustainability of energy resources.

For his part, Al Malood commended the tangible efforts made by SEA to support the renewable energy and energy efficiency sectors. He also highlighted the development projects of the National Quarry to support the government’s projects.
