Stores ordered to close trial rooms
TDT | Manama
Textile and garment shops in the Kingdom are enforcing ‘no trial’ for customers as part of new COVID-19 protocols. Bahrain’s Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Tourism has made clear that the days of trying out are over, with it directing all commercial and industrial establishment here to shut their trial rooms.
The new guidelines also require shops not to take back or exchange products like cosmetics and medical masks, once sold. The ministry places no restrictions on other goods, but insist on properly sterilising it before returning to shelves. Clothes exchanged or returned should be sterilised by ironing with steam or by washing with water and soap or by dry cleaning before returning it for sale.
However, goods difficult to sterilise are allowed on shelves after isolating them in a separate room for 48 hours. Glasses, jewelry, and other personal items should be sterilised directly with sterilisation fluids after coming in contact with shopkeepers or workers.
