Over 29,000 Indian nationals were repatriated from Bahrain to India through VandeBharatMission, which is now in its seventh Phase, said Indian Embassy in Bahrain.

This milestone achievement reached with the taking off of the mission’s 100th flight carrying 120 passengers on Sunday.

Norbu Negi, Second secretary of the India Embassy, Bahrain, was there at the airport to see off the passengers of the 100th flight from Bahrain to India.

In Phase 6 of the mission, which lasted 34 days, a total of 129,197 passengers flew back to India with VBM chartering 904 flights.

Overall Air India group operated 3,126 flights to bring back 529,099 passengers during the Phase-6 period of VBM.
