Helping hand for Bahraini private sector employees

The Labour minister of Bahrain has announced the terms of a Cabinet decision approving a 50 percent salary payment of Bahrainis working in the private sector organizations most impacted by the deadly pandemic.
As per a decree issued by His Majesty the King, the decision will benefit 23,000 Bahraini workers and 4,000 businesses.
Jameel Humaidan said half the salaries would be paid to Bahrainis in the upcoming months if they are working in one of the most adversely affected sectors identified by the government.
The payment will be for three months, from October to December 2020.
The latest move follows government paying full salaries of citizens working in the private sector for April, May and June, and 50 pc salaries of citizens working in pandemic hurt organizations for July, August and September.
The decision is as per a decree decree-law No. (30) to a while a new clause it added by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.
Salaries will be paid by Social Insurance Organisation (SIO) from Bahrain’s unemployment fund, given those eligible are from companies and organisations that have stopped working, fully or partially, and are unable to pay wages to workers.
