Premier asks report on swine flu
Prime Minister HRH Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa ordered the Ministry of Health to submit an urgent report on swine flu cases in Bahrain and the procedures taken to confront it.
He also directed to inform the media about this disease with utter objectivity and provide the public with firsthand update on it and the necessary measures taken to ensure safety of people.
The Premier directed the Health Ministry to raise its level of alertness and readiness to deal with the disease after the recent detection of some cases. He also directed the ministry to cooperate with specialised organisations, including the World Health Organisation, to follow up on the disease and tighten inspection and control procedures. Health Ministry has already confirmed the detection of some cases in the Kingdom.
According to reports posted online, few cases have also been detected at BDF Hospital in Riffa
