Prepare for COVID-19 tests. Health Ministry is visiting four random sites today

The national medical team battling the spread of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic is conducting random checks today from 4 pm until 8 pm at Al-Nasr Sports and Cultural Club, Umm Al-Hassam Sports and Cultural Club.

The testing is part of the daily random visits organized by the Ministry of Health to health centers, sports clubs, local markets and similar places.

Authorities are conducting around 300 to 400 tests at a place per day.

In total, health authorities are holding around 2000 to 23000 daily random tests, per day, as of now.

As of Tuesday, Bahrain’s overall toll from the deadly pandemic stands at 261, which is also one of the lowest amongst the Gulf Cooperation Council nations.

There are currently 4,922 COVID-19 active patients in the Kingdom, of which 4,861 patients are health-wise stable, the Health Ministry here said in a Twitter statement.

On Monday, the Health Ministry carried out 10,540 COVID-19 tests, to detect 454 new cases, of which 127 are expatriate workers, 324 are contacts of active cases and three are travel related.

The Kingdom also reported new 458 recoveries from the pandemic, increasing the total number of people cured of their infection here to 67,933.

Till now, Bahrain has tested 1,488,703 people for coronavirus in the Kingdom, after detecting its first in February this year.

According to the Health Ministry, there are currently 116 COVID-19 patients in the Kingdom, who are receiving treatment at various facilities, of which 61 patients are critically ill.

The Kingdom's latest casualty to the COVID-19 pandemic is a 53-year-old Bahrain woman.

One death takes COVID 19 death toll To 261

One death on Monday took Baharain’s COVID 19 death toll to 261. 454 new cases are registered on Monday. Out of the 1488703 people tested, 4922 are active cases, 4861 are stable and 61 are critical. 67933 people recovered from the pandemic
