Booker T plans to bring ‘Reality of Wrestling’ to Bahrain

Wrestling legend Booker Huffman aka Booker T is impressed by the level of interest for wrestling in Bahrain and wants to launch a wrestling promotion programme in the Kingdom.

The WWE Hall of Famer wants to improve the wrestling scene in Bahrain by bringing his wrestling promotion television show 'Reality of Wrestling' to Bahrain. He said he is keen to help bring the best out of Bahraini talent in the field of wrestling and help develop Bahraini wrestling stars. Being one of the greatest names in the history of wrestling, Booker T has a huge fan-base in the Middle East and the world. He was a celebrity guest for IGN Anime and Gaming convention that took place last week in Bahrain International Circuit (BIC).

It’s definitely a huge opportunity for me to bring wrestling to Bahrain and to create our own 'WWE' for the fans here. Hopefully, I get to do that, talk to some people and show them what Reality of Wrestling is all about and create it here in Bahrain one day, he said, adding,  I have a lot of fans here in Bahrain. It seems that everyone in this country know who I am and everyone here loves wrestling and WWE.

He explained that after enjoying a tremendous career in World Championship Wrestling (WCW), World Wrestling Federation/Entertainment (WWF/E) an Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA) winning 35 championships during the time, he is now focused on developing young talents. I definitely had a great career… 25 years in the business and then made a transition to working on a radio show. I just think it is a part of life for to pass it on to the young guys. I think I am in a position now to actually help those guys move to the next level.

Right now I am loving this stage of my life. Wrestling has been great way of life for me. I actually don't know where I would be if it weren't for professional wrestling. I know a lot of kids out there just walking in the same shoes I walked in. There is so much talent, so much untapped potential. The talent is here in Bahrain. I want to tap that talent and create our own stars that the locals here can come and watch, he said.
