Campaign to implement precautionary measures

Southern Governor His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa yesterday chaired the ninth meeting of the Security Committee. Deputy Governor Brigadier Isa Thamer Al Dosari and officers and members representing different directorates at the Ministry of Interior took part in the meeting which was held remotely.

Addressing the virtual session, HH Shaikh Khalifa stressed the Southern Governorate’s drive to implement the directives of Minister of Interior General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulla and take precautionary measures to combat the coronavirus (COVID-19) and protect the security and safety of citizens and residents.

He stressed the importance of coordinating with heads of community centers to comply with the mandatory precautionary measures when celebrating religious events. He underlined the need to avoid any gatherings and religious processions at the vicinity of community centers and hold events online remotely to avert any spike in infections. HH Shaikh Khalifa was updated by the General Directorate of Traffic about solutions to ease congestion on main and secondary roads in the Southern Governorate.
