‘Made in Bahrain’ project presented to Dy PM
Deputy Prime Minister Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa received in his office at Gudaibiyah Palace yesterday Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities (BACA) president Shaikha Mai bint Mohammed Al Khalifa who informed him about the celebration of the World Tourism Day through launching “Made in Bahrain” project.
The project is a new innovative initiative that aims to re-depict the visual and functional identity of Bahraini handicrafts and traditional industries to become a civilisational expression that reflects the Kingdom’s cultural identity. The Deputy Premier expressed thanks and respect to Shaikha Mai for her efforts to shed light on the Kingdom’s history and civilisation. He also thanked her for presenting him with a pottery product from the Pottery Development Project sponsored by BACA.
For her part, Shaikha Mai expressed utmost thanks and appreciation to the Deputy Prime Minister for his continuous support to BACA.
