Zero COVID-19 deaths; 456 new cases

There were zero deaths from the coronavirus (COVID-19) in Bahrain yesterday, while 456 new cases and 805 additional recoveries were reported.

The death toll stands at 262 following a lone fatality on Tuesday, while there is a total of 9,411 survivors from the respiratory ailment.

Following 10,228 tests, there were 106 new active cases detected yesterday.

The fresh infections included 121 expatriate workers and 329 from contacts of active cases, while six were travel-related.

The new cases - including active, recoveries and deaths - brought the overall number of confirmed registered cases in Bahrain to 73,932, dating back to when the first case was reported in February.

A total of 106 are receiving treatment with 69 critical and 4,190 in stable condition.

The total tests done in Bahrain increased to 1,509,071.
