Govt committed to boost cooperation with legislature

Minister of Information Affairs, Shura Council Parliament Affairs Isa bin Abdulrahman Al Hammadi reiterated the government's commitment to boosting cooperation with the legislature, in line with the directives of HRH Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa and Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, and in accordance with the constitution and the government's work programme for 2015-2018.

Speaking in the Shura Council's first procedural session after the inauguration of the second session of the fourth legislative term, the minister said the continuous cooperation between the executive and legislative branches will have a positive impact on the national march, boosting security and stability and promoting citizens' welfare.

He extended congratulations on the inauguration of the second session of the fourth legislative term, urging to continue assuming the national responsibilities of backing the reform march initiated by HM the King. He also praised the Parliamentary achievements in the previous session, pointing out the approval of 11 decree-laws and 19 draft laws as well as the submission of four proposals to the government.
