BIBF to launch training programme for businessmen and youth

The Bahrain Institute for Banking and Financial Studies (BIBF) has announced the launch of a specialised training programme for business leaders on 19 October. It is part of the activities during the celebration of the Manama Entrepreneurship Week, organised by the Capital Governorate, which will be broadcast via visual communication technology for the first time from 18 to 22 October. Capital Governorate Governor Shaikh Hisham bin Abdulrahman Al Khalifa said in a statement that the governorate organises the programme in co-operation with the BIBF.

It aims at providing support, inspiration and communication opportunities to entrepreneurs and youth who are interested in learning innovation and leadership. Especially in light of the current challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, Shaikh Hisham praised the continuous and co-operation with the BIBF in organising programmes and events aimed at developing youth capabilities.

For his part, BIBF Director General Dr Ahmed Al Shaikh said: “This initiative comes within the framework of developing the skills of entrepreneurs and enabling them to develop their businesses to achieve sustainability and excellence.

“Specialised workshops will contribute to strengthening the ecosystem of entrepreneurship in the Kingdom, which will enhance its role being a pioneer in promoting the culture of entrepreneurship.” He praised the efforts of the Governor in adopting initiatives aimed at developing and developing Bahraini youth and placing them on the path of entrepreneurship.

The training programme will also help the youth to develop their capabilities and provide them with the necessary skills to set up new projects and develop existing ones. The programme offered by the institute also deals with four main subjects: digital transformation, cloud computing for decision makers, exploring the real estate sector, in addition to the most prominent entrepreneurial skills.
