‘Collective efforts’ key to achieve progress : HRH the Crown Prince

Bahrain’s ultimate goal for a comprehensive development, led by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, can only be achieved through collective efforts.

This was emphasised by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander, and First Deputy Prime Minister, as he noted that this would entail further integration and determination by all.

HRH the Crown Prince yesterday met remotely with Council of Representatives Speaker HE Fawzia Zainal and Shura Council Chairman HE Ali Al Saleh as they discussed ways on how to achieve national priorities.

On this note, HRH the Crown Prince commended the wide-ranging achievements of Team Bahrain, comprised of the Executive Authority, Legislative Authority, the private sector, as well as citizens and residents, adding that these accomplishments serve as a platform to build on in order to meet the aspirations of the Kingdom and its citizens and secure further progress and development.

HRH the Crown Prince lauded HM the King’s Royal Address at the inauguration of the third Session of the Fifth Legislative Term, noting that HM’s address should be the basis of all workstreams and serve as a road map for further forward-looking initiatives, plans and development projects.

In this regard, HRH the Crown Prince noted that to deliver on this, an increase in the productive co-operation and coordination between the executive and legislative branches is required, to meet the aspirations of Bahraini citizens and progress the Kingdom’s development.

HRH the Crown Prince went on to stress that Bahrain’s democratic journey continues steadfastly towards further prosperity for the Kingdom and its citizens, who will always remain at the heart of all development efforts.

HRH the Crown Prince expressed his thanks to the Council of Representatives Speaker and the Shura Council Chairman, and to the members of both Councils, for their roles advancing the collaboration between the executive and legislative branches.

HRH the Crown Prince underlined the unprecedented challenges imposed by the glob- al spread of COVID-19, noting that the Kingdom, through the solidarity of its people and their collective spirit, has turned these challenges into opportunities for further development across various sectors.

Expanding on this, HRH added that these efforts must continue with further efficiency and drive during the next phase of joint work between both branches.

For their part, the Council of Representatives Speaker and the Shura Council Chairman expressed their gratitude to HRH the Crown Prince for his support towards enhanced co-operation between the executive and legislative branches.
