Bahrain shoppers warned to follow Covid-19 measures

Manama

A Health Ministry medical professional urged strict compliance with precautionary measures set by the National Taskforce for Combating COVID-19. Health Consolidation Directorate Programmes Chief Consultant Doctor Fatima Hubail urged people to protect themselves and their families and contribute to curbing the spread of the pandemic.

She urged shoppers to abide by precautionary measures when at souqs and trading outlets by wearing facemasks properly, respecting social distancing and avoiding peak hours. She urged shoppers to sanitise their hands regularly for at least twenty seconds, observe physical distancing and avoid touching products displayed at trading outlets.

Dr Hubail urged elderly people and those suffering from chronic diseases to avoid going out unless necessary. Senior citizens and pregnant women must do their shopping during the earlier hours of the day and pay electronically and avoid using cash. She also advised people to shop remotely via online platforms such as smart applications and electronic sites, stressing the importance of limiting contacts.
