NSSA participates in Space economy leaders meeting 20

The National Space Science Agency (NSSA)  participated in the first meeting of Space economy leaders meeting 20 chaired by Saudi Arabia, on October 7 during World Space Week.

The Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development of the United Nations (OECD) and the United Nations Office of Space Affairs (UNOOSA), the space agencies of the Arab Group for Space Cooperation, and organizations, consulting companies, economic entities and experts, participated in the event. 

NSSA CEO, Dr. Mohamed Ebrahim Al Aseeri, who represented Bahrain in the meeting, thanked Saudi Space Commission for their invitation, which came at a time when the world is witnessing an accelerated growth of the space sector in nearly 80 countries.

The meeting focused on three main objectives, the most important is to support and coordinate the efforts of space agencies for the peaceful use of outer space, to promote the level of scientific and economic investment in the space sector, and to emphasize the political, economic and scientific role Saudi Arabia and its commitment to international development and peace.
