Bahrain exempt fine of 418 medical frontliners

TDT | Manama

A total of 418 medical professionals who are unable to renew their licenses since February this year are exempted from paying fines.

National Health Regulatory Authority (NHRA) Chief Executive Dr Meriam Adhbi Al Jalahma said that this was in line with the directives of His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa to support medical personnel who are working in the front lines in the fight against the coronavirus.

The exemptions have cost more than BD24,000. Dr Al Jalahma lauded the appreciation of HM the King, HRH the Premier and HRH the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister of the health sector, most notably those in the front lines, for their pioneering role in maintaining the health and safety of the community.
