Eight Asians held for gold trafficking at Bahrain airport

The Bahrain International Airport Police Directorate has arrested eight Asian travellers aged 32 to 42 years for attempting to traffic 16 gold bars worth around BD43,000.
The suspects were caught hiding the gold bars in their luggage. The attempt was foiled while police were carrying out their routine inspection for departing travellers. Legal proceedings were undertaken.
