Three die from COVID; 374 new cases and 335 recoveries

Three more succumbed to the coronavirus (Covid-19) yesterday, bringing the virus-related death toll in the Kingdom to 308.
The deceased included two Bahrainis, a man and woman, aged 65 and 70 respectively, besides an 88-year-old expatriate woman.
Following 10,391 tests, there were 374 new active cases. The fresh infections included 117 expatriate workers and 254 from contacts of active cases, while three were travel-related.
The new cases - including active, recoveries and deaths - brought the overall number of confirmed registered cases in Bahrain to 78,907, dating back to when the first case was reported in February.
A total of 74 are receiving treatment with 31 critical and 3,144 in stable condition.
There were 335 new recoveries, raising the number of survivors to 75,424.
The total tests done in Bahrain increased to 1,648,827.
The Ministry has expressed its condolences to the families of the deceased.
Bahrain’s first case was a citizen arriving from Iran in February.
