Bahrain’s Marine control Department has warned strict actions against those violating regulations in force in the kingdom.
The Agriculture and Marine Resources Agency said that the Maritime Control Department is taking necessary measures in cooperation with the Coast Guard leadership.
The agency accused that some of the Asian workers are acting irresponsibly in contravention of Decree-Law No. 20 of 2002 regarding the regulation of fishing, exploitation and protection of marine wealth. Coast guards also detected violations regarding Resolution No. (201) on limiting employment on board fishing vessels to regulate and reduce the work of foreign workers.
The agency said has developed an integrated plan with maritime patrols, and works are underway to implement it.
