Bahrain's mosques re-opening for Dhuhr (Noon) prayers have been postponed to November 8 from November 1, it has been announced.
The decision, based on the approval of the National Taskforce for Combating the Coronavirus (COVID-19), means that mosques in Bahrain will be open for worshippers for the Fajr (Dawn) and Dhuhr prayers.
The postponment is due to the need to take all necessary precautionary measures to ensure the safety of the worshippers, including sanitisation.
Congregational and Friday prayers were suspended in Bahrain on March 28 after mosques were shut to mitigate the spread of the coronavirus.
Fajr prayers were allowed on August 28 as the first step of the gradual reopening of mosques and resumption of collective worship and religious gatherings.
