Two-month long Drive-n-Dine event to kick off at Gravity Village in Zallaq today

In a first-of-its-kind event in Bahrain, people will be able to enjoy various cuisines as well as get entertained by a variety of activities, while being confined to their cars and maintaining Covid-19 precautions.

‘Motiv8’ and ‘We Got You’ is launching the ‘Drive n 'Dine’ event at the Gravity Village, in Zallaq, this evening (October 29), under the patronage and presence of Youth and Sports Affairs minister Ayman bin Tawfiq Al Moayed at 5.30 pm.

The event will feature several famous local restaurants that will serve delicious dishes. ‘Drive n 'Dine’ will last for two months till December 26. The timing is from 5 pm until 12 midnight on weekdays and from 4 pm until 1 am during the weekend. 

In addition, a theatre will present various musical and artistic performances daily, with stalls designated for entertainment games, only while being inside a car, to enjoy a different experience while adhering to all precautionary measures and preventive measures to limit the spread of the coronavirus.

Organisers said that more than 80 outlets and seven music bands will be featured throughout the two months. Visitors have to adhere to safety precautions and wear masks even while inside the car in case the need to speak with one of the organizers arises. Guests have also been requested not to gather together in numbers, thus violating Health Ministry’s Covid-19 protocol.

Motiv8 CEO Wasim Sami Al Farhoud expressed his constant passion for organising high-profile events to promote Bahrain’s tourism sector.

The event promises to be entertaining for people of all ages and highlight ‘the best that the Kingdom of Bahrain has to offer.’
