Zero COVID-19 deaths in Bahrain yesterday

Zero Covid-19 deaths were reported in the kingdom yesterday holding the total toll in the Covid-19 outbreak at 317.

Bahrain’s health authorities here also reported 405 new recoveries yesterday, increasing the total number of people cured of their coronavirus infections in Bahrain to 78,102.

Bahrain also recorded 240 new Covid-19 cases yesterday raising the total number of people infected since the detection of the first case here in February to 13,438.

Out of the newly detected case yesterday, 61 are expatriate workers, 169 are contacts of active cases, and ten are travel related.

There are currently 75 patients in Bahrain receiving treatment, of which 19 are in a critical condition.

The total number of active cases in Bahrain, health officials said, now stands at 2,843, out of which 2,824 patients are in a health-wise stable condition.

The ministry also announced carrying out 10,695 Covid-19 tests yesterday, bringing the total tests conducted in Bahrain to 1,732,371.
