Submissions begin for Fikra third edition

The Office of the First Deputy Prime Minister (OFDPM) has announced that it is now accepting submissions for the third edition of the Government Innovation Competition (Fikra), starting yesterday.
The initiative is in line with the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander, and First Deputy Prime Minister.
Fikra aims to promote a culture of competitiveness amongst government sector employees, and support creativity, innovation and excellence across government workstreams in accordance with the guiding principles of the Bahrain Economic Vision 2030 – which is based on sustainability, competitiveness and fairness.
The launch of the third edition of Fikra will contribute to supporting the role of the Kingdom’s national workforce by reinforcing government service excellence and performance, as witnessed by the winning ideas of the previous two editions which have both led to the introduction of innovative solutions that have benefited the Kingdom and its citizens.
Fikra submissions are open to all employees working across the public sector or at government owned enterprises. Individuals or groups of up to four people can submit their proposals at the website of the Office of the First Deputy Prime Minister: http://www. fdpm.gov.bh.
The closing date for submissions is on 21 November, where all submissions will be reviewed by members of the evaluation committee.
