Indian School Bahrain students emerge top in the island

The re-evaluation process of India’s Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE)’s Class 12 examination has given the Indian School Bahrain (ISB) student Shree Arthi Govindraju, five extra marks in English making her the new island topper in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
She scored 492 marks out of 500 in the March examination thus scoring an overall 98.4 percent. Reelu Reji of the same school came second in Bahrain with 98 per cent (490/500 marks) sharing the position with a student from another school here. ISB’s Keyur Ganesh Chaudhari is in third position in Bahrain with 97.8 per cent marks (489/500). Govindraju, Reji and Chaudhari were from the Science stream.
In the Commerce stream, Nandini Rajesh Nair, who scored 97.2pc, shared second place position in Bahrain with a student from another school, said ISB. With 96.6pc Sherene Susan Santhosh came third in the island.
The ISB also bagged the second and third positions in the Humanities stream. They are Archisha Mario with 97.2pc and Anjana Suresh with 96.6pc respectively.
The CBSE Gulf Sahodaya Schools Bahrain chapter confirmed the results. The ISB had achieved a pass percentage of 98.7 in the Class 12 CBSE exam held this year. Out of 675 students, 65.9pc got distinction and 92.7pc got first class, which is a landmark achievement.
