When he steps on the cage today, at BRAVE CF 44’s main event of the evening, Cleiton “Predator” Silva, the current Lightweight world champion, won’t be fighting only Amin Ayoub, the challenger, but also a problematic record for Brazilians fighting while competing in title fights in the Kingdom of Bahrain.

So far, Predador’s fellow countrymen are 0-4 in world title matches held in BRAVE Combat Federation’s home nation and the Lightweight kingpin cer- tainly wants to be the first Brazilian to put a number on the winning column.

As Cleiton, two other Brazilian champions came to the Kingdom of Bahrain to defend their titles. Lightweight Lucas “Martins” and Middleweight Daniel “Gaucho” put their title on the line and ended up defeated by Abdul Kareem Al Selwady and Mohammad Fakhred dine respectively.

On the other hand, Felipe Efrain travelled all the way to the Pearl of the Gulf to challenge Stephen “The Sniper” Loman for the Bantamweight world title. The Chute Boxe/Diego Lima prodigy ended up defeated via unanimous decision.

Lastly, probably the most unusual case was the one involving Flyweight top contender Marcel Adur, who fought against Velimurad Alkhasov in a bout in which only he could be crowned the champion since Alkhasov didn’t make weight. That didn’t matter much and Adur was defeated and the Flyweight world title remained vacant.

But that’s not the only adverse odds that Cleiton ‘’Predator’’ will be facing at BRAVE CF 44. In fact, the other one might be considered even more unset- tling, since it’s not related to a single nationality and involves a whole division of weight.

Since the inaugural Lightweight world title at BRAVE Combat Federation, no world champion was able to defend his belt successfully, which means that the championship changed hands every single title it was put on the line.

BRAVE CF 44 takes place today, November 5th, in Riffa, Bahrain. In addition to the Lightweight world title bout in the main event, the card will feature a potential Welterweight title eliminator between Abdoul Abdouraguimov and Louis Glismann in the co-main event and four other thrilling fights.
