HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad attends qualifying endurance race

The second endurance qualifying race was held today under the patronage of His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, His Majesty the King’s Representative for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs and Bahrain Royal Equestrian and Endurance Federation (BREEF) Honorary President.
A total of 160 contenders representing different stables took part in the 40 and 80-kilometre-long races, which were also attended by Supreme Council for the Environment (SCE) Vice President, SCYS Coordination, Implementation and Follow-up Committee Chairman HH Shaikh Faisal bin Rashid Al Khalifa and BREEF Chairman HH Shaikh Isa bin Abdulla Al Khalifa.
HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa expressed delight at the large number of competitors who took part in the two races, praising the BREEF plan which bore fruit.
He said that the 100 and 120-kilometre-long international race would be thrilling, attracting the cream of talented jockeys and horses from different stables.
He praised the competitiveness, which marked the qualifying races, hailing the performance of jockeys from the first qualifying care of the new endurance season.
HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa praised the strides achieved by the endurance sports in the Kingdom of Bahrain, wishing all the participants success in the coming races.
Endurance Committee Chairperson Shaikh Duaij praised HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad for his patronage, which, he said, represents a catalyst that boosts all the participants.
The 100 and 120-kilometre-long international will kick off early tomorrow morning at the Bahrain International Endurance Village.
