Mosques in Bahrain will resume performing noon prayers, except on Fridays, starting Sunday.
The Sunni Endowments Administration confirmed the reopening in a circular issued yesterday.
The circular also stated that the mosques would close their doors to worshipers on Friday noon. “This is done as a precaution to address the Coronavirus pandemic, and that no noon or Friday prayers will take place at that time,” it said.
The waiting period between the call to prayer and the Iqama for the Fajr and noon prayers will be 10 minutes.
Mosques that were said to remain closed will continue so until further notice.
