The Gulf cultural scene lost a prominent figure in the field of creative, literary and cinematic writing on Friday with the death of Fareed Ramadan.
Award-winning Bahraini writer, scriptwriter and producer, Fareed died after a prolonged battle with illness at the age of 59.
The Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities paid tribute to Fareed, saying: “Here we bid farewell to a cultural stature that has always had a role in raising the name of Bahrain high among the circles of Gulf and Arab creativity.
