Bahrain lost a loyal son: HM King
Bahrain has lost one of its loyal sons with the passing of His Royal Highness Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, said His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.
HM, the King was meeting Parliament Speaker and Shura Council Chairman, ministers and other top officials who offered their condolences on the demise of HRH Prince Khalifa.
“Bahrain has lost one of its loyal sons who dedicated their lives to serving their country and contributed, through steadfast work, to its progress and development,” HM the King said praying to Allah the Almighty to rest the soul of the deceased in eternal peace.
Speaker Fawzia bint Abdullah Zainal, Shura Council Chairman Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh, and the Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Judicial Council and President of the Cassation Court Abdullah bin Hassan Al Buainain were present.
HM, the King’s Personal Representative His Highness Shaikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al Khalifa, HM the King’s Representative for Humanitarian Works and Youth Affairs and National Security Advisor HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, and Minister of the Royal Court Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed Al Khalifa were also present at the meeting at the Safriya Palace.
The mourners praised HRH Prince Khalifa’s role in serving Bahrain and promoting its comprehensive progress that resulted in many achievements across all fields.
The parliament-shura members also extended their sincere wishes to HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to continue Bahrain’s progress and fulfil the aspirations of citizens.
HM, the King lauded the efforts of the Speaker and Shura Chairman in serving the nation and strengthening the foundations of democracy and praised the action of the Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Judicial Council and President of the Cassation Court in serving and developing the judicial system in Bahrain.
