Three Asians die in Bahrain sewage mishap: HRH Prince Salman order investigation

The three Asian men who died this morning reportedly from being suffocated while carrying out routine maintenance works in a sewage chamber in Bani Jamrah on Budaiya highway have been identified.
They are Indians Rakesh Kumar, Debasis Sahoo and Mohammed Tausif Khan and their occupations are Worker, Fitter and Site Inspector respectively. Mr Kumar was an employee of Mohammed Abdulmohsin Al Kharafi and Sons while Mr Sahoo and Mr Khan were employed by Crown Electro Mechanical Services.
Bahrain Civil Defence has already started investigating the tragedy that took the lives of the expats and landed a fourth one, also Asian, in hospital.
The relevant authorities were at the site.
Later today HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, instructed the Interior Minister HE General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa to investigate the incident and determine compliance with safety standards, with an early report to be submitted directly to the Cabinet.
