Probe ordered into Covid infections at Bahrain women's detention centre

Interior Minister General Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa has ordered the formation of an investigation committee to probe the level of commitment to Covid-19 precautionary measures after a number of inmates at the Isa Town Women’s Detention Centre were infected with the coronavirus. The centre is a prison or pre-trial detention centre under the custodial authority of the Interior Ministry and managed by the Police. Women detained there include criminal detainees (convicted or remand), unaccompanied minors, accompanied minors and undocumented migrants.
