HRH CP, PM issues edict

His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, issued Edict No. (21) of the year 2020 regarding the establishment and formation of the National Committee for Geospatial Information Governance and its operations.

The amendment replaces the text of Article 1 of Edict No. 15 of the year 2017 on the establishment and formation of the National Committee for Geospatial Information Governance and its operations.

The new text calls for the formation of a committee which will follow the Ministerial Committee for Development and Infrastructure Projects, under the chairmanship of the CEO of the Information and eGovernment Authority, and would include members from the Information and eGovernment Authority, The Survey and Land Registration Bureau, The Ministry of Housing, the Ministry of Works, Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning, The Electricity and Water Authority, The Urban Planning and Development Authority and The National Space Sciences Authority.

The amendment also changes the phrase “Ministerial Committee for Reconstruction and Infrastructure” with the phrase “Ministerial Committee for Development and Infrastructure Projects” wherever it appears.
