Indian man's body left unclaimed at SMC

An appeal has been launched to trace relatives or friends of an Indian man who died yesterday in Bahrain. Ram Gopal Bakolia was taken to the Salmaniya Medical Complex (SMC) around two weeks ago when he met with an accident. At the time, his whereabouts were not known. Later social workers were able to get his CPR from which his name, company and other details were discovered. When contacted, the company has apparently denied that the man worked for them. His employment visa is not valid too. The 47-year-old hails from Rajasthan. The Indian Community Relief Fund (ICRF), which functions under the aegis of the Indian Embassy is also involved, said ICRF volunteer Sudheer Thirunalath. "There is no one to accept his body now," he said. Anyone with information about Mr Bakolia may please contact the ICRF or SMC.
