Formula 1 driver Romain Grosjean was back at Bahrain International Circuit (BIC), much to the delight of everyone involved in the Kingdom’s F1 double-header. Grosjean was treated to an emotional reunion with members of his team Haas, and he later met with officials from the Federation Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA), F1, the Bahrain Motor Federation and BIC, as well as some of the local marshals who are working in Bahrain’s F1 races.
Grosjean was also able to interact with FIA Medical Car driver Alan van der Merwe, FIA medical delegate Dr Ian Roberts, and firefighters Joby Mathew and Thaer Ali Taher, who were first on the scene following his horrifying crash last Sunday in the F1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix. It was the first time Grosjean returned to the circuit after spending three nights at BDF Hospital for treatment.
