King Hamad Prize for Agricultural Development winners honoured

Agriculture and Marine Resources Undersecretary Dr Nabeel Mohammed Abu Al Fateh, honoured the winners of the third session of the King Hamad Prize for Agricultural Development that was launched by Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, Wife of HM the King, Chairperson of the Advisory Board of the National Initiative for the Development of Agricultural Sector, as an initiative to create a competitive environment between agricultural projects’ owners, farmers and researchers to advance the sector.

Abu Al Fateh honoured the representative of Dar Al-Nabaa Farming Company Abdullah Al-Fahal, with the award of the best agricultural production project category for their modern production and operation methods. As well as the farmers, Hussain Jaafar and Muhammad Mohsen, for winning the Best Bahraini Farmer Award for their cumulative knowledge and professionalism in serving palm trees, production quality and innovation in agricultural practices.

The undersecretary congratulated the winners and praised their great efforts in developing the agricultural sector and its sustainability in the Kingdom, affirming that Bahrain will continue to support such professions in order to achieve sustainable food security for the Kingdom.
