Shaikha Hala receives prestigious ‘Order of the Star of Italy’ medal

Shaikha Hala bint Mohammed Al Khalifa, Director General of Culture and Arts at the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities, has been awarded the “Order of the Star of Italy”.

She received the medal from Italian Ambassador to the Kingdom of Bahrain Paula Amadi during a ceremony held at the Bahrain National Museum.

The “Order of the Star of Italy” is one of the most distinguished Italian honours awarded by the president of the republic as a special reward for the personalities who contribute to strengthening cooperation, friendship and relations with Italy.

Shaikha Hala said: “I am delighted to have received this medal, which reflects the depth of the cultural and civilisational relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Italian Republic, and expresses the strength of the bonds of friendship between our two peoples.”

She indicated that many cultural exchange projects are currently in place between Bahrain and Italy, and the Bahrain National Museum is still hosting the exhibition of the great Italian artist Ezio Gribaudo. Future cultural achievements Work is continuing to achieve other future cultural achievements between the two sides, based on agreements and cultural cooperation established over the years, Shaikha Hala explained.

For her part, Ambassador Amadi said that the Italian Embassy was honoured to award
Shaikha Hala the “Order of the Star of Italy”, stressing that the latter has always maintained distinguished relations with the embassy and promoted Italian cultural principles.

The Ambassador explained that the cultural ties between the two countries have flourished in recent years, thanks to Shaikha Hala’s passion for culture and art, noting that her work contributed to promoting culture and its importance in bringing people and civilisations closer together.
