Emulate the noble sacrifices of martyrs, urges HH Shaikh Nasser

His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa yesterday urged all to “acquire the qualities of the righteous martyrs and emulate the noble sacrifices they have achieved.”

Shaikh Nasser, the National Security Advisor, Royal Guard Commander Major-General, was speaking during a ceremony held to commemorate Martyrs’ Day in the Royal Guard in Bahrain Defence Force.

Royal Guard Special Force Commander, Lieutenant Colonel His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa was present. HH Shaikh Nasser offered a salute of reverence, loyalty and pride to Bahrain’s martyrs of national duty who have died in the fields of honour.

“On this honourable day, we recall the heroes who sacrificed so much in the service of their homeland and defence of their religion. They have now joined the ranks of those who preceded them and won the honour of martyrdom. They have joined the elite of the righteous martyrs of Bahrain who since the days of our fathers and grandfathers sacrificed themselves to defend the religion and the homeland and to support the brothers,” HH Shaikh Nasser said.

“We will share with our children and the next generations their sacrifices and heroism from which we have learned the highest levels of bravery and sacrifice which they had enshrined with their pure souls and blood.”

Shaikh Nasser also pledged Bahrian’s full allegiance and loyalty to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the Supreme Commander. “After God, he is the one who inspires our determination, resolve and bravery.”
