World leaders congratulate HM King and HRH Crown Prince on National Days

The mood is vibrant. The pangs of the deadly pandemic are nowhere to be seen.
Dazzling fireworks and countless festivities all over the Kingdom have helped Bahrain to shake the pandemic away. Young people say that they have never been as optimistic as they are today, with many among them decorating their vehicles in red-and-white to create a demonstration of patriotism and allegiance to HM the King.
The scene turned more vibrant as officials in Manama setup three mega-screens on Al Fateh Highway and ornamentally decorated the King Faisal Corniche with lights – providing photo opportunities to the public.
The celebratory mood prevailed across the Kingdom, and malls offer huge four-day discounts to mark the National Days.
Celebrated annually on December 16 and 17, the days commemorate the establishment of the Bahraini state as an Arab and Muslim country founded by Ahmed Al Fateh in 1783, the anniversary of Bahrain’s full membership in the United Nations, and His Majesty the King’s Accession to the Throne.
On the occasion, Bahrain Television and Radio aired HM the King’s address and congratulations to the nation, boosting optimism and strengthening belief for a bright future.
Joining in, making the occasion more joyful, leaders, diplomats, and ministers from all over the world showered the Kingdom with words of togetherness.
World leaders, in their congratulatory emails, conveyed warm greeting to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, the government and friendly people of Bahrain.
In a message, Ram Nath Kovind, the President of India, and Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed confidence that the mutually beneficial relationship between the two countries will continue to deepen and expand in times to come.
India’s External Ministry Dr S Jayashankar tweeted best wishes to FM Al Zayani and the government and the people of Bahrain. He said, “Confident that our bonds of friendship and cooperation will continue to strengthen.”
Indian Ambassador Piyush Srivastava said he is looking forward to strengthening and diversifying India’s deep-rooted and friendly bilateral ties with the Kingdom.
Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, in a tweet, said, “I congratulate the Kingdom of Bahrain on its 49th National Day.”
“Undoubtedly, your 50th year will be marked with growth and prosperity. There is no doubt that the relations between the two countries will lead to achieving a better future for all the peoples of the region,” Netanyahu added.
The Governor of Riyadh, Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, hailed the strong Bahraini-Saudi relations, wishing Bahrain continued progress and prosperity.
Omani Ambassador and Dean of the Diplomatic Corps, Abdullah bin Rashid Al-Medilwi, extended congratulations praising Bahrain’s achievements and development strides.
UAE Ambassador to Bahrain, Shaikh Sultan bin Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, said the specificity of the relations between the UAE and the Kingdom stems from the distinguished fraternal relations between the leaderships of the two countries.
“It gives us immense pleasure to congratulate His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the brotherly people of Bahrain on the glorious National Day and the anniversary of HM the King’s accession to the Throne. We pray to Allah Almighty to protect Bahrain and its people and to perpetuate its joys, security and stability,” Shaikh Sultan said.
Shaikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, in a phone call expressed his congratulations, wishing Bahrain continued progress and development. Kuwaiti foreign minister, Shaikh Dr Ahmad Nasser Al Mohammad Al Sabah, extended sincere congratulations wishing Bahrain continued prosperity.
Minister of Foreign Affairs of Sri Lanka, Dinesh Gunawardena expressed appreciation of growing relations between both countries and peoples in various fields.
