Car falls off Bahrain Bay bridge

A man and woman escaped unhurt after their vehicle fell off the bridge in the Bahrain Bay area early today. According to initial details, a young European man was driving his car in the Bahrain Bay area at 1.30 am on Friday, accompanied by a European woman. He lost control of the steering wheel and collided with the iron railings on the side of the highway that resulted in the car toppling from the top of the bridge. No serious injuries were reported. Police and Civil Defence that arrived at the scene facilitated the smooth flow of traffic. The car was restored from the bottom of the bridge, after which the official authorities opened an investigation to find out the causes of the accident. It is understood that the driver did not comply with the traffic rules.
