Dog attacks child at park in Hidd, owner flees scene

Director-General of Muharraq Governorate Police called on pet owners to be cautious when they are out with their animals. It urged to avoid taking them in banned areas, including gardens and parks for the safety of all because the law penalises those who risk the safety of others.
He said that the police directorate had taken legal steps against an owner of a dog that attacked a two-year-old child in a public garden in Hidd. The owner fled the scene, and the parents rescued their child who sustained injuries.
He said that an investigation into the case led to identifying and arresting the owner, the dog seized, and the case was referred to the Public Prosecution.
