Covid vaccine will let life in Bahrain return to normalcy : Health minister

Health Minister Faiqa bint Saeed Al Saleh said that the steady turnout of citizens and residents to take vaccination against the coronavirus "Covid-19" reflects the advanced levels of health awareness within the Bahrain community.

The minister praised the high sense of responsibility of the citizens keen on the Kingdom's achievements through effective partnership to ensure the success of the plans to combat the pandemic.

The national campaign for vaccination has provided the safe vaccine under the umbrella of the World Health Organization and licensed by the National Health Regulatory Authority to protect every member of the community from the coronavirus, she said.

The minister pointed out that the availability of free vaccination for every citizen and resident stresses the significant care of the Kingdom about the health and safety of all members of the community.

Such care is among the top priorities to achieve the highest levels of health security and it is within Bahrain's humanitarian approach and in implementation of the directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, she added.

The minister also emphasized the importance of continuing to adhere to all precautionary measures and directives issued by the official authorities in order to achieve the set goals in dealing with the pandemic.

Immunization is a simple, safe and effective way against diseases and the importance of this vaccine lies in protecting oneself against the coronavirus by allowing the body to develop a safe immune response that provides protection for the body by preventing or controlling infection, she said, adding that the vaccine will help a gradual return to normalcy.
